He's Harry, Jim, but not as you'd know it
Sharp and Marked are the sequels to Clean. A future PI, former drug addict, working for the police with unreliable psionic powers tries to escape his past.
Books two and three contain some more whining, but that’s fine. What’s a bit more disappointing is that plot, story, characters, devices, all are somehow ‘repeated’ in the second and third book. Self-plagiarism.
There’s nothing wrong with procedurals, but this is perhaps a little too much. Still, the world is interesting, and all three books together seem to wrap up the overall story. I guess any further books might be fresh again? If I find any I’ll try them…
In spite of the whining and repetition still a very good read.
