A relaxed read, a good book. You know it's going to be all right in the end, and yet you won't mind.
And I needed something relaxed after all the hard (military) SF I've been reading the last year(s)...

Granny stays behind when a failed colony is evacuated. Then she meets the aliens. Fortunately, they are not the Ripley kind, or the book would have been very short indeed 😉
What makes this book great is granny's utter contempt for bullshit. Sometimes I wished some managers would follow a similar philosophy...
