Sharp and Marked are the sequels to Clean. A future PI, former drug addict, working for the police with unreliable psionic powers, who's trying to escape his past.
Whining
Books two and three contain some more whining, but that’s fine. What’s a bit more disappointing is that plot, story, characters, devices, all are somehow ‘repeated’ in the second and third book. Self-plagiarism.
There’s nothing wrong with procedurals, but this is perhaps a little too much. Still, the world is interesting, and all three books together seem to wrap up the overall story. I guess any further books might be fresh again? If I find any I’ll try them…
In spite of the whining and repetition still a very good read.
