Why make things easy... You can only create links to .exe files now on Windows 11, but there's a way around that as well. It just takes a little effort.
Here's how to create a taskbar shortcut to a batch file in Windows 11:
1. Create a batch file
2. Create a shortcut on the desktop to that batch file
3. RMB on that shortcut
4. Properties
5. Shortcut tab
6. Add 'cmd.exe /c' to Target field (without the single quote signs, of course)
7. Ok
8. RMB again
9. Show More Options
10. Pin to Taskbar
Done.
