March 21, and life still sucks. Even more so than usual.
Somehow I just don't feel like writing much lately. It's a kind of general slump, partially filled with the inability to get my sorry ass into gear and publish, partially by all the doom and gloom from the orange menace's corner, and there are some private things distracting me and mine.

It's March 23, 2025... Spring's upon us. Almost.
Politics
Let's not talk about politics. I mean, what can I say?
I watch the events in the US with disbelief. The US never was the most 'liberal' 'democratic' state in the eyes of the average European, but the kind of oligarchy-for-the-rich they're turning it into now is... disgusting.
Writing
I finally (finally!) made a decision on how to release my novel. It's been a long time... now I only have to wait for the artwork...
Dapper
Dapper #200 came and went. Yeah, that only means something to the 'Dapperites' amongst us.
Enshittification
... continues. More and more streaming services are reducing the number of streams, or the quality of their service. Take, for example, HBO Max (now Max). My 'lifelong 50% discount' still applies... but the product I bought went from HD to SD, from 5.1 to 2.0 audio channels, from 3 simultaneous streams to 2, and the price went up a dollar a month.
Almost the same applies to Sky Showtime.
And Disney is increasing the pricing and announced to start looking at account sharing as well.
F1 TV more than doubled the price for the same product this year.
Netflix increased the prices, yet again.
Microsoft is adding AI everywhere to Windows, even though nobody wants it.
Meta / Facebook adds AI, and trains AI on your data (and makes it somewhat tricky to opt out).
And the list goes on and on...
Economics
(Somewhat related to politics, but here we go... I lost 10 to 20% of what I saved for pension and mortgage thanks to Trump's idiocy.
Reading
I did read tons of books, but failed to add them all to the blog. Which is stupid, because now I have to recheck some titles again. Stupid me.
Battery
All in all, it's only March 21 (that's the moment I'm writing this) and my battery for 2025 is already empty.
