I should write a long and extensive post about the purpose of life, love, the state of the universe and everything. Instead I'm just going to give you my Top 3 in music. And damn, it turns out that that's actually hard!

1. John Miles - Music

I can't help it. After all these years this is still the greatest song ever, and I don't care what you think of it. Any accidental American ending up here might wonder WTF John Miles is or was.  He was great. And I'm going to miss him.

Here's Music, live as part of Night of the Proms (2012), and it's original version (1976). (Frankly, ripping and YouTube compression took away some of the dynamics, so I strongly suggest that you find a decent lossless .FLAC, or an original CD / LP. That whole album Rebel is outright incredible. It didn't hurt it was produced by an Alan Parsons in his top days.

The problem with 'top 3s' is that you have to decide to go for the best songs, or your favorite songs, or the songs that actually define you.

Music fits all three categories... So now I'm in trouble. I could list Music three times, but that would be cheating 😇  Another problem is that there are so, so, soooooo many great songs that it's simply hard, unfair, impossible to choose!

So, I'm actually going to cheat. I couldn't make up my mind on my top 3, so what I'm going to do is to take all of 2025 to update this page, and add a decent number 2 and 3. I'll keep adding 'contenders' to this page until I find the right ones.
