The cheapest filament ever (round 2)

3D Printing + Cheap Filament

Yesterday I found (what I think is) another reincarnation of SMIC Technologies / Nova Technologies / Thomas Chain Discount Shop / ...

Now, the original SMIC never shipped my order, and I think it's a scam. But I like to be fooled twice...

Stupid

Yes, I know this is stupid, trying to order something from someone who's probably a scammer... but perhaps I can help AliExpress weed out another scammer? Who knows... (Yeah, I don't believe that neither, I'm just a pedantic lunatic.)

But as AliExpress reimbursed me fully - and they see no problems with me trying to order yet again from another potential scammer - I said to myself: yeah, why not? So, I tried to order - again - the cheapest filament in the world.

Process

For the record:

1. I first had a chat with AliExpress helpdesk:

2. Then I ordered the article. I clicked on ok, and got this message:

Wait. What? But the seller said they would ship it inside 7 days. And that's necessary, otherwise they won't be able to deliver before the 9th when shipping from Spain.

3. And so I asked the AliExpress helpdesk to look into it. I doubt it will make any difference, but let's see what happens.

Would they really send out such a message? I doubt it.

I also doubt the package will ever arrive, but it's a way to spend my time. Note that I absolutely and utterly hate scammers, so it would be nice if I could make their life a bit more miserable.

4. This is the confirmation showing up in the chat window with the shop.

I'm not entirely sure why I get 5 euro discount, but hey, I'll take it. That will put this PETG at 4.95 euro per kilo. If it ever arrives.

I bet it will again be an invalid tracking code, belonging to a package that never shows up. Watch this space...

Will be continued.
