I believe human nature is effectively blocking any usable form of communism and anarchism. That's why I believe in enlightened capitalism, with a shot of socialism to protect the weak. That’s the role of government: protect the populace from getting hurt by greed and stupidity. (Click on the image to enlarge.)
Progress & Protection
I think the only way to make progress is if people have some personal interests on the line, a stake in the outcome, and that’s exactly what’s wrong with communism in any form, and with socialism if they don’t understand that part of human nature.
The problem with capitalism is that it often turns into uncontrollable, unmanageable greed. But making money and protecting the weak in society are not necessarily mutually exclusive, they're just tangential.
So, let's add some safety mechanisms, and accept that greed is the route to progress. Let three rich become richer, just don't let the poor become more poor. Viva capitalism!
