Readers are not stupid
Please, dear YA authors, keep in mind that your audience might be younger, but isn't necessarily stupid (even though YouTube might suggest otherwise).
Human fleet crash landed on some world, and is regularly attacked by aliens. Young girl's father is a traitor, and she still manages to become a fighter pilot of her own, against all odds.
Yeah. It ain't too original. I'd skip this one.
