Game of Thrones - Season 6

Review.

Season 6 is solid but not outstanding. Though 'solid' for Game of Thrones might equal 'exceptional' for some other shows.

Many die, as usual 😏 In spite of that quite enjoyable.

Now I better hurry up watching season 7, as 8 is already broadcasting!

Spoilers

Any regular follower of any recent and decent television show is familiar with multi-episode story arcs. And whilst the creators could get away with killing of Ned Stark in season 1, this just woudln't work for John Snow. So, please raise your hand when you didn't see his resurrection coming. Nobody? Thought so.

This season didn't sport that many surprises. We all knew Cersei is one hell of a psychopath and good at holding a grudge. After being walked through the streets, stark naked, for her incestuous behavior, she was out to get even. Or ahead.

Blowing up the place was the least she could do. So, no surprises there.

Tommen, though, jumping out the window? That was somewhat a surprise, I didn't know he had it in him.

And losing Margaery Tyrell was, well, a bit of a loss. I didn't like that character at first, but she started to grow on me, as she wasn't as much of a 'bad girl' as I thought at first. I wonder what Olenna will do about it.
