VirtualBox 7.2.4 - Client resolution doesn't automatically adjust to window size

VirtualBox + Windows

VirtualBox has a few more options in its latest incarnation, and a few defaults are different from previous releases.

Auto-adjusting client resolutions is one of those.

Fix

1. Install VBoxGuestAdditions

2. Shut down the VM

3. Check video settings under Machine / Settings / Display

• Driver - VBoxSVGA
• 3D Acceleration - On

4. File / Preferences / Display

Maximum Guest Screen Size - None (or use your actual screen resolution)

 5. Restart VM
