Chronical: 2067

Movie Review

2067 (also known as Chronical: 2067) is a little (?) but good SciFi movie that more or less flew under the radar. Don't expect mega blockbuster style VFX and CGI, huge explosions and robust heroes. This isn't one of those.

Then what?

It's a decent SciFi movie, that has an unwilling guy rescue the future of humanity by altering the timeline. That's not an exceptional new plot, but it's quite entertaining and well worked out, and the actors do a pretty decent job.

Summary

The world has undergone an extinction level event, and humanity is on the way out, mostly thanks to itself. Nothing new there either... We're pretty busy destroying the world as is, and the US proudly shows the way to go.

Anyway, the world is a goner, and one simple worker is sent into the future, because someone from the future tells the present to do so. It's hard to tell you more without spilling the plot, but let's just say that by changing the future he's changing the past. (And yes, that line actually makes sense.)

Covers

I like book and movie covers, and I noticed there are tons of different covers for this movie. And some of those are a little misleading. Did they try to re-sell it as a kind of space adventure or something?

Why are there tons of different covers anyway? Here are the six most common. Which one do you prefer?

The Verdict

Not a mega-explosion blockbuster but a decent, entertaining SciFi flick.

Pay attention, people. Because without the heroes from 2067 we may end up in 2073...

Whatever happened to Max?

Completely unrelated, but the main character reminded me of an old friend of mine, who resembled him a bit when he was younger. Here's the actor:

And here's Max, in 2016, living somewhere outdoors:

I wonder what became of him... All I found was a few news snippets, dating back to 2016.
