When3D printing objects, you may encounter crimp / shrinkage, when the material cools down.
Where to adjust these parameters in Bambu Studio?
1. Horizontal shrinkage (in X- and Y-direction) compensation using Filament settings
1. Bambu Studio / prepare
2. Project Filaments
3. Select the filament you want to use
4. Save it under a new name
5. Tab 'Filament'
6. Shrinkage
7. Enter 100%
Write down the original percentage for reference
8. Print a reference object of 200 mm length
9. Let it cool down and measure it
An an example, let's say we measure 199.7 mm
10. Go back to filament settings
11. Tab 'Filament'
12. Shrinkage
13. Enter a percentage
199.7 / 200 = 0.9985 = 99.85%
14. You can add notes in the 'Notes' Tab, for example a vertical scaling and similar things
Another approach would be to 'scale' the objects with the next method:
2. Horizontal (XY) and vertical (Z) shrinkage compensation using object Scale
1. Print test objects
2. Measure objects
3. Bambu Studio / Prepare
4. Select object to scale
5. Scale (use button bar or press 'S')
6. Disable uniform scale
7. Adjust the scale for X, Y and Z
