Sometimes you just need a shortcut to a batch file. Now that's easy. But sometimes you want to place that shortcut on the task bar, and that is slightly more complicated.
This approach appears to work on Windows 10 and 11.
1. Create a batchfile
2. Create (on the desktop) a shortcut to that batch file
3. Go to properties / target of that shortcut
4. Insert CMD /C before the name of the batch file (ie. the target)
5. Change the icon if needed
6. Drag the resulting link onto the task bar.
Done.
(Darn. This is a duplicate post. I already figured that out some time ago... It wouldn't show up on a search because it didn't include the word batchfile... that is batch file without the space...)
