Audiobook Review

Harringtonish... Nice read, still. Youngling gets kicked out of school, becomes trader, killer, captain, admiral, savior.

Predictable, I admit, but enjoyable.

Family matters (too much)

Perhaps some threads deserved a little more attention, and the 'family thing' that runs through so many military SF books is getting a little stale. I'm not sure though where Moon wanted to go with the 'killer instinct' thing? It's a thread / plotline that just fizzles out.

The Verdict

Good read, and the audiobook version was great as well. If you like (the earlier) Harrington, then this will serve you well.
