Look what I found on a Japanese (?) website... someone is selling his home-build transmission line / horn version of the B&W 'Rock Solid Sound' Monitor.
Hard to tell how it sounds, but the lack of dampening material, and the fact the seller wants to sell it... Oh well.

At first glance, the build seems reasonable, although I'm surprised by the use of real (leftover?) wood as well as the lack of dampening materials. Still I wonder how this would sound? Would it improve the lower bass response, and still sound well, or is this just a pipe dream? Well... a transmission line / horn dream 😂

Still, it's tempting to take a pair of those Solid Monitors apart and try this, or perhaps plunge them in a Frugal Horn. Yes, I know. No respect for that lovely full bandwidth single speaker horn design, but it's so tempting, just for the fun of it... Now if someone could provide me with the real dimensions...
