Daryl Gregory - Spoonbenders (2017)

Audiobook Review.

With masturbation being a (minor) theme, some drug (ab)use, a dysfunctional family and paranormal gifted people this book won't score well in the bible belt. Nevertheless, it's quite an interesting read, and a very different take on the subject.

Precognition is a bitch

In a nutshell: if you know everything that happens in the future you'll have a hard time figuring out what comes next and what came before. Add to that a set of missing teeth, being prime evidence in a murder case, and two or three layers of serious deception, and voila, a multi-layered novel that even might satisfy bibliophiles, critics and readers alike.

Narration

Good. No issues at all.

Verdict.

Yep. Worth your time, go and read it. Is this Scifi? Fantasy? Superheroes? Darn, this one is hard to put in a specific genre. I think I'll settle for Scifi.

Near the end it got a little slow, but all in all a very decent read. No regrets on this one.
